On 2nd Aug 2024, ZWES was given the great opportunity to collaborate with Edaran Otomobil Nasional Berhad (EON) to organize EON Sustainability Day: Embracing Zero Waste at EON HQ, Glenmarie.
Client Background:
Established in 1984, EON was the first and exclusive dealer for Proton in Malaysia.
As part of DRB-HICOM Berhad, they are now one of Malaysia’s largest multi-brand dealerships serving several notable automobile brands including Proton, Mitsubishi, Audi and Volkswagen.
Their commercial vehicles business includes ISUZU, commercial leasing via Avis and automotive supply chain and logistics via DHAS.
Environmental Impact from the event:
In the Recycling Program’ campaigns organized by EON Berhad and Zero Waste Earth Store (ZWES), 587.25 kg of recyclable materials were collected, including paper, mixed plastics, e-waste, metals, glass, fabrics, cooking oil, etc.
1458.54 kg of CO2 emissions were avoided from landfills and raw materials extraction and processing
The day started with EON Sustainability Day launching and a series of talks by Zero Waste Earth Store, Jabatan Alam Sekitar Selangor and DRB Hicom Berhad
There were around 12 sustainability vendors, 3 demonstration on food waste composting, plastic recycling and waste segregation, 1 E-Waste Ladder Board Game, and 3 food truck
We had a fantastic turn out for the Waste to Cash recycling program and fabric donation drives for Kampung Orang Asli.
Not forgetting the amazing response for the upcycling workshops, green passport and Lucky draw

• 0.35 petrol powered passenger vehicles driven for one year
• 3,730 miles driven by an average petrol powered passenger vehicle
• 1,148 kgs of coal burned
• 3.4 barrels of oil consumed
• 96,288 number of smartphones charged
• 24 tree seedlings grown for 10 years
• 63 bags of trash bags of waste recycled instead of landfilled
• 0.5 tons of waste recycled instead of landfilled
